School of Software and Microelectronics, Peking University accords to the needs of China’s strategic economic restructuring and the pressing demand for software professionals development and achieves the leaping development of software engineering education in China. It is a pilot of higher education reform during the new era as approved by the Ministry of Education and the State Development Planning Commission.

The school shall cooperate with the famous universities and companies in the nation and abroad to implement the educational model characterized as “credit based professional education, quality-oriented talent training, and the integration of education, research and practice”. It shall use advanced international teaching materials, invite top-level experts from all over the world to teach courses in English and Chinese, and train advanced, practical, multi-disciplinary and globalized professionals.
