软件技术系                系主任 田江森 博士

软件技术系情况介绍       主要方向是：软件开发、软件质量工程与测试、系统管理与技术支持、软件项目管理。       软件技术系面向国民经济信息化建设和产业发展的需要，培养具有扎实的软件理论和软件工程技术基础，软件开发与工程实践能力、项目管理能力，具有团队合作精神与优秀的职业素养，具有创新精神和国际竞争力的软件开发、软件质量工程与测试、系统管理和项目管理高级工程技术人才。 　　并为软件学院其它专业方向开设软件工程技术基础课与核心课程。

系主任介绍

     田江森 (Jonathan Tien)现任微软亚洲研究院技术创新部总监，北京大学软件与微电子学院软件技术系系主任。田江森的职业生涯开始于AT&T贝尔实验室，从事UNIX上的多机芯系统研开发。之后他在SpaceLabs Medical工作了5年，着重病人监护仪器的智能研究和管理。接着他加入了bSQUARE，一家在美国西雅图提供嵌入软件和移动解决方案的创业公司。作为开发部门高管，他对bSQUARE的迅速成长并最终上市都起了关键作用。他于三年前加入了微软公司，现任微软亚洲研究院技术创新部总监。 他的研发兴趣在新产品孵化和将前沿软件研究成果转化到实际产品之中。

     田江森在中国科技大学(安徽,合肥)获得数学学士,在美国纽约市大学(City University of New York)获得计算机科学硕士和博士学位。

     Jonathan Tien started career with AT&T Bell Labs, working on multiprocessor system that run UNIX.  He then did research at Spacelabs Medical for five years, focusing on intelligent patient monitor devices such as EKG and SpO2.  He joined bSQUARE Corporation as a key employee developing embedded platform technology based on Windows CE.  As a senior manager for R&D, he played an important role for the rapid growth of the company, resulted an IPO on NASDAQ in 1999.
     Jonathan joined Microsoft Research as a program manager in Seattle three years ago and is now a Director of Innovation Engineering Group at Microsoft Research Asia.  His research interest is in how to move research results into real products rapidly.
     Jonathan Tien graduated with BS degree in mathematics from University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei, Anhui) 1983, received MS and Ph.D. in computer science from the City University of New York (New York, NY, USA) in 1986 and 1991 respectively.
